Quest with a Twist
Everyone loves the friendly Bartender! One of the few people willing to listen to you drone on about how your job is crap, the opposite sex doesn't like you, and you're thinking of 'ending it all in a rain of gunfire and carnage'. Blah blah blah! But the bartender remains understanding and discreet to their core. Fun fact, the Bartender also serves alcohol.

The Bartender is a both an NPC and playable character in Streets of Rogue. He is unlocked by drinking 10 alcoholic beverages (Whiskey, Beer and Cocktails) in a single game.

NPC[edit | edit source]

The Bartender is an NPC that you will find in a pub or casino. On the enlarged map, they are tagged with a cocktail. They can spawn with a Shotgun and/or with Guards. Upon Interacting, you have the option to "Buy a Round" to make all non-owner NPCs in the building Friendly or to just buy some drinks.

Tips and Strategies[edit | edit source]

  • How to fight:
  • How to finish a mission:
    • Charismatic causes nearly all NPCs to become friendly and has numerous benefits:
      • Merchants sell items with a 10% discount.
      • Bartenders do not need to bribe Bouncers to enter buildings.
      • NPCS will not get annoyed if you enter their homes. However, they will still get mad if they see you stealing.
      • Mob NPCs will not try to mug you.
    • If you do make a horrible mistake, use your Hypnotizer Mark II to force someone to forgive you.
  • Furthermore, every citizen is Friendly with Bartender, which allows you to enter anywhere (except Staff only Rooms). Use this ability to enter into a house and steal the contents of a Refrigerator while the owner is not looking at you.
  • NPCs who start out neutral to you (generally those guarding hideouts) will turn Friendly if you serve them a Beer or Whiskey. An easy way to complete missions is to knock on the door, give the guard a drink, and then enter with impunity. With careful timing of your knocks this can be repeated for multiple guards. Just be aware that if a non-friendly guard sees you tresspassing, the friendly ones will also turn hostile.
  • It's recommended to buy Beer or Cigarettes early on and en masse as they are the cheapest option to complete the big quest.

Quotes[edit | edit source]

  • "What'll it be?"
  • "I spent 10 years in bartending school.. I was held back a lot."
  • "I'm gonna make your liver cower in fear."
  • "I think you've had enough... is something I never say."
  • "Shots shots shots!.. I'm actually out of shots."
