Whether expounding on the differences between races or lamenting a recent online date gone hi-lariously bad, the Comedian has no shortage of worldview-expanding and totally non-hacky material. While their jokes can be polarizing at times, the comedian lives to be loved, and won't be happy until everyone laughs DAMMIT!

The Comedian is a both an NPC and playable character in Streets of Rogue. They wear a bright yellow jacket with green and purple splotches all over it. As a character, the Comedian uses Jokes that can both make allies and enemies. He starts with Sugar, Bacon Cheeseburger, Whiskey, and Cigarettes.

The Comedian is unlocked by killing anyone (including yourself) with a Banana Peel.

NPC[edit | edit source]

Tips and Strategies[edit | edit source]

  • How to fight: The Comedian is a below average fighter, and probably better off getting other people to fight for him. Use items, NPCs, and other methods to even the odds before jumping into a fight
  • How to finish a mission: If you get lucky with a Joke, you might be able to finish a mission with little effort. However, make sure you have a backup plan if things don't go smoothly.
  • Jokes are your greatest weapon, but they can also end up being your demise. Due to their RNG nature, be careful to not anger dangerous NPCs. You have a very low chance of making people Hostile with your jokes, unless you tell a joke to someone who is already annoyed.
  • If you can't afford to make an NPC mad, don't tell them a Joke. For example, if you make someone like a Shopkeeper mad, you will not be able to buy items from him.
  • Be very careful telling jokes near a Cop, especially if you already have a cop follower. If a cop turns hostile for any reason (from jokes or lawbreaking), any friendly or loyal cops who see you will also become hostile. If you get a cop as a follower, it may be safest to immediately order them to attack a hideout to get them killed.
  • You can move while telling a Joke. It might be wise to do this to get a head start if things go bad.
  • If things get too hairy, don't be afraid to use your Sugar to get out of whatever trouble you might be in. Keep in mind that the Comedian is quite fragile.
  • Some of the best traits for this character is Friend of the Common Folk and Friend of the Family. With it, you can guarantee a Joke's success with any Slum Dweller or Mobster you might find.
