Chloroform Hankie is a Special Ability used by the Doctor. It can only be used when behind a person; an icon will appear over them to indicate they can be chloroformed. Upon use, the target is instantly and silently neutralized, making non-friendly NPCs annoyed and than hostile.

• Subduing Spree - No cooldown after using Chloroform

Super Special Ability

• No cooldown on Chloroform Hankie.
• Free refills at Ammo Dispensers for all weapons.

Tips and Strategies

• NPCs do not recover from knockouts and will drop their inventory.
• Be careful about knocking out vendors as their shop inventory becomes inaccessible.
• Because the attack is silent, using the ability will not alert anyone unless they see the body. With a strategic approach to line of sight, it is possible to knock out entire buildings without alarming anyone.
• Sometimes NPCs will stand with their backs to the wall, preventing the use of this ability. A safe way to attract their attention is to punch a wall, causing them to look at (or come looking for) the wall without them getting annoyed at you. This provides a window of opportunity to get behind them, but NPCs standing in corners may not be vulnerable to this.
• Knocking on locked doors of inhabited buildings will attract an NPC to answer the door. You can wait until they turn around to walk back inside then chloroform them if you're quick enough.
• You cannot use Chloroform Hankie on NPCs that are wearing a Gas Mask. However, they can still be knocked out by a Tranquilizer Gun.
• The in-game tooltip has been revised several times to meet platform content standards and avoid unpleasant implications.
  • The first iteration was a classic joke about over-drinking at parties. "Step 1: Move behind enemy. Step 2: Use chloroform. Step 3: Draw phalluses on enemy's face. Step 4: Grow up."
  • The second iteration was easily misinterpreted. "Step 1: Move behind enemy. Step 2: Use chloroform. Step 3: Celebrate your violation of a person's bodily integrity"
  • The current iteration is a reference to the South Park underpants gnome.
• In early builds, the Chloroform Hankie had to be equipped as a weapon.
• It's possible to miss with this ability.
