Backstory
When not administering wedgies, swirlies, and Indian sunburns to nerds, the Jock enjoys running into walls at high speeds. When scientists contended that this behavior destroys brain cells, the Jock passionately argued that it actually RESTORES brain cells, ironically giving more validity to the scientists' claims. Scientists backed down after receiving the most severe purple nurples of their lives.

The Jock is a both an NPC and playable character in Streets of Rogue. They wear a green sports jersey with the number "6" on it.

The Jock can be unlocked by achieving Destruction Level 75 on any level.

NPC[edit | edit source]

The Jock can be found in Downtown working behind the counter of an Arena building as the owner. They offer players a chance to fight in the unarmed arena for big cash prizes or death, whichever comes first.

Tips and Strategies[edit | edit source]

  • How to fight: You are one of the best melee classes in the game. You have a lot health so don't be afraid to fight multiple foes at once if you have a good weapon. Use corners and doors to force ranged opponents to come to you.
  • How to finish a mission: As the Jock, you have the traits Loud, Computer Illiterate, and Sucker. Stealth and subtlety are out of the question when doing most missions. Try to use Chaaarge effectively to quickly complete missions by destroying walls and windows.
  • The best way to use Chaaarge is to use Level Boundary walls, Steel Walls, and even Safes to force yourself to stop moving after a short distance.
  • Remember, you can Chaaarge in all 8 directions. Charging through the corners of buildings and into a Level Boundary wall is a great way to gain entry inside.
  • You can still be hurt while charging and it won't cancel your charge. NPC damage can change your charge trajectory (but not your direction). Touching Fire (From hitting Stoves, Flaming Barrels, etc.) will cause 10 damage. Hitting a Generator will do 50 damage to you.
  • It's tempting to use Chaaarge to get XP from Master of Disaster by completely destroying entire floors. Don't. You only get 2 XP per object/wall section destroyed and you risk being attacked NPCs and being damaged by hazards as you charge, uncontrollably, back and forth across the floor. The best way to use Master of Disaster is when you are close to gaining a level at the end of a floor. Destroy some objects and walls to gain just enough XP to level up before leaving the floor.
  • Be creative in how you use Chaaarge. For example, you can't charge through the Steel Walls of a hideout but you can charge through a window to get inside. Even better, if you charge diagonally at the window you can quickly break the window without running uncontrollably into the hideout!
  • Don't let Sucker deter you from buy items. If you need food, a tool, or a weapon, then buy it.
