Undiscerning Looting is the Big Quest for the Thief (and can also be chosen for Custom Characters).
In this quest, you must loot the item(s) from at least a specific number of loot containers (Chests and Safes) on every floor throughout your run. The number required is usually between 3 to 5. It does not matter which ones you loot, as long as the total number looted is reached.
Super Special Ability[ | ]
While playing as the Thief after completing Undiscerning Looting, with Super Special Abilities (Mutator) enabled:
- Pickpocket without being noticed.
- When you start the game with Super Special Abilities mutator enabled, you will begin with a Skeleton Key and Safe-Cracking Tool instead of 3 Lockpicks and 3 Safe Busters.
Tips and Strategies[ | ]
- Later areas can contain upwards of 7 Safes or Chests per level. Take your time to decided which are the easiest to rob.
- Your thieving tools such as Wall Bypasser and Safe Buster are extremely useful for stealing without being seen.
- Take advantage of Honor Among Thieves and stock up on thieving tools early in the run. NPC Thieves become very rare later later in the game.
- The trait Intrusion Artist is extremely useful, allowing you to potentially conserve your thieving tools.
- You will need to fight your way to the loot if you do not have the right tools for the job. For small buildings, this might be the best course of action.
- Teleport-Happy can be quite useful as it allows you to teleport out of a building instead of potentially using resources to get out unscathed.
